Candidates for Boards of Education in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties concluded filing for offices last week. Those who filed and didn’t draw an opponent with their seat unopposed.
If more than two candidates filed for the same position, a primary election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025. If one of those candidates receives more than 50 percent of the vote, that candidate will be named the elected official.
If no candidate receives more than 50 percent, then the two receiving the highest number of votes will vie for the position in the April 1 General Election.
If only two candidates filed for an office, then they will appear on the General Election ballot April 1.
In Lincoln County, those who filed include: Agra, Office No. 5, Keith Wright Carney, Office No. 5, Jacob Thompson.
