The P.E.O. Sisterhood International awarded scholarships to Shakoda Wright and Tatum Crouch, both recent graduates from Chandler High School.
The local chapter, Chapter AN, awarded Shakoda Wright a $500 scholarship. She is the daughter of Tekila Wright and plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in Business Law, with further plans to attend law school.
Tatum Crouch received the P.E.O. Star Scholarship worth $2,500. P.E.O. Sisterhood International gives this award and is a highly competitive scholarship for women who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service, and potential for future success. She is the daughter of Jason and Robin Crouch and plans to attend Oklahoma State University, majoring in Physiology with further plans to attend the D.O. program at the Oklahoma State College of Osteopathic Medicine.
P.E.O. Sisterhood is one of the largest community- based women’s organizations in North America, with almost 250,000 initiated members. The organization provides loans, grants and scholarships for women through its six philanthropies. They are committed to helping women achieve their educational goals.
