A Cushing woman facing a felony and two misdemeanors has waived her preliminary hearing and entered guilty pleas to cases filed last December and in May of this year.
$100,000 bench warrant that was issued for the arrest of a woman charged with a felony last December and another one in May of this year has been returned and she has been arraigned.
Aimee Desiree Moore, 45, of Cushing, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Dec. 28, 2023 with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property, a felony, and possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, a misdemeanor.
She was due in court on July 2 to appear before District Judge John Canavan for her arraignment but failed to show up. The judge, noting Moore failed to appear after being called three times in open court, issued a $100,000 bench warrant for her arrest.
Court records show the bench warrant was returned and filed on July 9.
Appearing recently before Special Judge Emily Mueller, Moore waived her preliminary hearing and the two judge rule. As the result of a plea bargain and upon the state’s recommendation, she pleaded guilty to the charges.
Judge Mueller found her guilty as charged and on Count 1 handed her a fiveyear deferred sentence, a $100 judicial assessment and $100 VCA and court costs.
On Count 2, Judge Mueller gave her a fiveyear deferred term, $100 judicial assessment, $100 VCA and court costs.
