Lincoln County commissioners this week approved the budget numbers for the Fiscal Year 2024 Estimate of Needs and awarded bids on street and bridge projects.
Lincoln County Clerk Alicia Wagnon advised commissioners the budget numbers for FY 2024 are more than $14.5 million.
Commissioners also awarded a bid for resurfacing of 1st Street in District 2. They awarded bids on a 35-feet steel beam bridge and a 40-feet steel bridge.
They adopted a County Roads and Bridge Improvement Fund resolution for the 1st Street project in District 2 and adopted a CBRIF resolution for an unnamed project in District 1.
They approved a contract with Highpoint Partners for those two bridges in District 2.
Commissioners awarded a quote for the Lincoln County Health Department phone system and wi-fi.
They authorized the Sheriff’s Office to make bids on vehicles.
Once again, they held off on approving a Flintco contract for the jail addition and renovation.
In other business, commissioners: After spending several minutes in executive session, returned to open meeting and approved a full property damage release for a District Court case involving Lincoln County versus Tiger Tanks Trucks, LLC.
Approved a settlement agreement with the final defendants in the Juul e-cigarette litigation.
Took no action on a resolution authorizing payment of E-911 payroll related expense out of ARPA interest account.
Awarded a bid to Janna King for janitorial services at the courthouse.
Approved an ODOT form for payment to Smith-Roberts Land Services Inc.
Voted to authorize seeking an applications for REAP grants for Districts 1 and 3.
Approved the Treasurer’s Office to hire Greg Upton to build an abstract and/ or prepare a title opinion to a piece of property on the resale list.
Amended the benefits section of the Lincoln County Employee handbook.
Approved running a $550 ad in the newspaper for the job fair which will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at the courthouse.
Authorized exterior electric outlets for the Christmas Tree Lighting Festival.
Approved a Nativity Scene on the courthouse lawn.
