Meeker Board of Education members this week employed three new personnel, approved continuing contracts for certified staff and for support staff for the 2025-2026 school year and also extra duty contracts for the 20252026 school year.
Board members, following an executive session, returned to open meeting and hired Brandy Pritchett as Special Education Director.
They also hired Amanda Cloud as a Middle School teacher and Diana Ward as an Elementary teacher.
Board members approved the 20242025 audit contract and engagement letters with Bledsoe, Hewett and Gullekson.
Approved a contract with Alcohol and Drug Testing Inc. for 2025-2026.
Agreed to a contact with Allison Brown as director of federal programs for 2025-2026.
Approved a contract with David Harp as school treasurer for 2025-2026.
They approved a contract with Enthusiastically OT for Occupational Therapy for 2025-2026.
They approved a contract with Sylogist for 2025-2026.
Board members approved a contract with Misty Blankenship as Speech Pathologist for 2025-2026.
They approved an action to action of cheer to compete in game day pom.
Board members approved a Memorandum of Understanding with YFRC in Caring to provide mental health services.
Agreed to allow the Meeker Chamber to use buses to transport students to Prague for the summer swim program. In her report to the board, Elementary Principal Sarah Flowers invited board members to attend kindergarten graduation and PK Candy Bar Awards at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 19. Her enrollment numbers stood at 309.
Middle School enrollment numbers are at 200, Principal Matt Jones advised board members. He told them the Little League basketball camp will be from May 27-30.
High School Principal Brad Buxton reminded the board high school graduation is Friday night at the Cargill camp.
