EMILY KALKA Staff Writer A Prague student is one oftwoselectedbyCanadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) to represent the area at the Youth Tour in Washington, D.C.
Rhett Quary of Prague, along with Greenly Snell of Konowa, will travel to the nation’s capital for the 2026 National Rural Electric Cooperative Association tour . The event will take place over a week and includes leadership development, educational opportunities and hands-on learning, according to a press release from CVEC.
“Investing in our youth is investing in the future of our communities,” said Kaci Dennis, Communications Outreach Coordinator at Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative. “Greenly and Rhett demonstrated strong leadership potential, thoughtful perspectives, and a genuine interest in how this experience could shape their futures. We are excited to see them represent CVEC and our communities in Washington, D.C.”
