Stroud FCCLA brings home awards

Members of the Stroud High School FCCLAchapter recently attended the Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention, held April 2, 2026, in Tulsa at the Arvest Convention Center. The event brought together more than 4,600 student members, advisers, and guests from across the state for a day of leadership, recognition, and celebration.

Throughout the convention, chapters were recognized for their outstanding achievements, including honors such as FCS Participation Awards, Chapters of Excellence, and top placements in STAR Events—a competitive program that showcases students’ skills in areas like leadership, career preparation, and community service.

Brooklinn Martin, 11th grade, earned third place in the state forWork Ready Interviewing Skills, Level 3. Isla Arballo, 10th grade, earned second place in the state for Say Yes to FCS Level 2, and will advance to the national level in Washington DC this summer.

William VanPelt, ninth grade, earned first place in the state for New Member Facts, Level 1.

The Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention serves as the premier event of the year for members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, providing opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, explore career pathways, and be recognized for their hard work.

FCCLA is a national student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Oklahoma FCCLA continues to lead the nation in membership and student engagement.
