Several events are going on next Tuesday for Veterans Days.
In Chandler, there will be a breakfast for veterans at the United Methodist Church at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade through downtown at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., a special program will be held at the Chandler High School Performing Arts Center. That will be followed by a luncheon and program at the Route 66 Interpretive Center with a reception being held at the Lincoln County Pioneer History Museum at 1:30 p.m.
In Stroud, a special Veterans Day program will be held at the Stroud High School Performing Arts Center at 11 a.m.
Wellston will also be holding a program at school.
The Meeker and North Rock Creek marching bands will be hosting a special Veterans Day concert that evening with the Tecumseh marching band. The event starts at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Tecumseh High School Football Field. It will include performances by all three bands, along with a fireworks show.
The Lincoln County News annual special section to honor veterans will be published in next week’s issue on Nov. 13.
