A $100,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Chandler man after he was charged with felony possession of pornography.
Formal charges were filed Sep. 22 in Lincoln County District Court against James Wendell Price, III, 30.
The $100,000 bench warrant was issued for his arrest the same day the charges were filed.
Assistant District Attorney Rachel Thompson filed supplemental information in the case showing that since 2013 Price has been convicted of eight felonies. Two of those he was convicted of in Lincoln County District Court were in March of this year.
In the pornography count, Price is accused of between March 7 and March 20 of this year, of possessing one image file of child pornography consisting of a prepubescent girl undressed on a bed.
In an affidavit filed in the case, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Rachell Savory states that on March 7, 2023 Facebook created National Center for Missing and Exploited Children a cyber tip.
Facebook reported user Taylor Nichole shared child sexual abuse material with a Facebook user on around March 4, 2023.
In the affidavit it’s stated that Facebook provided user names and verified email addresses for both users.
A search warrant for the Facebook account indicated the user lived in Chandler and the account belonged to James Price, 30. Photos contained within Price’s account included: child pornography images shared from Taylor Nichole; a personal check written on March 14, 2023 to James Price III; and a conversation thread between Taylor Nichole and Price.
Within the conversation thread, Price asked Taylor Nichole to send nude images.
Taylor Nichole indicated she could send a nude video of an 11-year-old in the shower, the affidavit continues.
Price requested the video as well as other nude images of the child and indicated he would send more money when Price received the images. Price provided a Cash App. The conversation continued with Taylor Nichole being unable to locate the Cash App account. Price then provided a phone number to locate the account.
In the affidavit it’s stated a query for the Cash App with that phone number given identified an account with a user name. A search warrant for the Cash App account verified the user was James Price.
Price’s previous felony convictions include: April 13, 2018, Payne County District Court, possession of stolen vehicle.
Dec. 4, 2013, Pottawatomie County District Court falsely personate another to create liability and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
Dec. 11, 2018, Lincoln County District Court larceny from a house, knowingly concealing stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
March 20, 2023, Lincoln County District Court possession of stolen vehicle and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
