If you haven’t driven down Main Street to the east end, you need to make the drive. The east entrance into our community looks great. The northwest corner has been cleaned up and the three buildings to the west of the corner have been given facelifts, also. It’s worth the trip to see how things are changing on the north side of the street, which was an area that needed some attention. While you’re on that end of Main Street be sure and check out the Key Doctor’s new neon sign.

The Main Street Pavilion is missing one of its Route 66 chair. The missing chair is red and has a quilt like pattern on the seat back and says, “Welcome to Stroud.” If anyone has seen the chair, please contact a Town Talk member.

Superstarz Cheer Camp will take place on July 31st and August 1st at the First Nazarene Church. The camp is open to everyone. Three- to five-year-old participants will meet at 4:00 p.m., six- to nine-year-olds will meet at 5:00 p.m. and ten- to fifteen-year-olds will meet at 6:30 p.m. Cost for one child is thirty-five dollars, two children sixty-five dollars, and three children $95.

Don’t forget Putt Putt Kicks on Route 66 is open Thursday through Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Bring the kids and come play a round of golf and learn about Route 66 as you play.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the call for volunteers to help water our Main Street flowers. The flowers add such a welcoming vibe to our downtown. We appreciate each of you and are thankful for our new helpers.

School starts on August 14th so it’s time to start purchasing all your school supplies and Tiger gear. Thank you for remembering to shop local…………. first! Have a great week!
