The Stroud High School Tigers will take on the Alva Goldbugs this Friday night at Stroud’s Jack Poskey Field with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Stroud Booster Club and Town Talk want to light up the night sky with blue lights beginning this Friday night. The groups are selling remotecontrolled light bulbs for $10 each.
We are asking the community to purchase a bulb and use it to replace your porch light. Turn it on Friday night before the game and leave it on for the rest of the evening. Turn it on every Friday night during football season and then continue with all sports on their game nights. You can use the remote to change the bulb back to white or several other colors. You may purchase bulbs from any Booster Club or Town Talk member or at Unique Market. Be sure to pick yours up before Friday night. Let’s show our Tiger Spirit.
Friday night is also the “Pink Out” game sponsored by Stroud Student Council. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to the game. Students will do a presentation during halftime and collect donations in the stands. All proceeds gathered will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer prevention and research. The 10th annual Glow Run is scheduled for October 22nd.
The Route 66 Midpoint Corridor is encouraging everyone to trade in their hippie beads for chicken wings at Chicken Stock. This will be two nights of music and groovy vibes.
