1. Update on Glenn Crest Park
A. The rental on the pavilion has really been going well. If you want to rent the pavilion for a day for $40.00, you will need to contact City Hall (405) 279-3320 and make arrangements for your next upcoming event.
B. The plants, shrubs and flowers are looking great also.
C. New stone is being ordered by Hulstine Enterprises for the mishap on one of the columns being knocked over by a SUV. Accidents do happen. We are glad they had insurance to cover the damage done.
2. Update on Homestead Park
A. Donations are being accepted at this time for playground equipment, mulch, swings, benches and picnic tables.
B. Painting on the Band stand is still scheduled.
C. O.G.&E. is still engineering the lighting for the park and security.
D. 2 big dead trees still need to be cut down.
3. Update on Grants
A. We received a new inclement weather damage engineering report from Infrastructure Solutions.
B. This will be turned in to FEMA and then we will wait for their response.
4. Update on City wide Cleanup
A. City Wide Cleanup will be a 2-day event scheduled for May 29th and 30th. The roll off dumpster will be at the H.S. gym parking lot just like last year.
Please bring a Meeker Utility bill and I.D. to dump.
5. Update for Chamber of Commerce
A. Please support the Annual Golf Tournament held at the Chandler Golf course. Check with Josh at BancFirst for details.
B. The Summer Swim Program will take place again this year for our Meeker Residents and children.
This is held at the Prague City Pool. Check with Laverne Babinchak for details at BancFirst (405) 279-3535.
C. Independence Day celebration will be held July 3rd. Fireworks will be at the Lake again. More to come on this event. Vendors may call Brandy Osburn 640-7787
D. Superintendent Pruitt recognized the special teachers and students for the year.
6. Update from the Meeker Round Up Club
A. Dr. Deseree Brown announced the Annual Meeker Rodeo and Parade will be held this year, June 25 and 26.
7. Update from Meeker Library
A. Friends of the Library announced that the Summer Reading Program will be held again this year at the Meeker Library.
