Warrant issued in robbery

A $100,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Wellston woman for allegedly robbing a man at his residence,

Charissa Dawn Bell, 28, faces a felony charge of first degree robbery and reckless conduct with a firearm, a misdemeanor.

The charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on March 18 this year.

The first degree robbery charge accuses Bell on Feb. 28 of stealing a pistol, a phone and Chevy Trax motor vehicle from Charles Sharpe while he was at his residence.

The charge alleges during the course of the theft, Bell pointed a pistol at Sharpe and threatened to shoot him.

The reckless conduct with a firearm count charges Bell with on the same day while at Sharpe’s residence discharging a pistol inside his residence creating a situation of unreasonable risk and demonstrating a conscious disregard for the safety of Sharpe.

Lincoln County Deputy Sheriff Cody Coleman states in an affidavit that he responded to a residence on March 3 shortly before 9:30 a.m. on 3310 Road in Wellston about an incident that occurred around 5 p.m. on Feb. 28.

When Coleman arrived, Sharpe informed him that the defendant, Bell, had come into his house uninvited, and took a 9-shot 22 revolver from his residence after he struggled with Bell in an attempt to stop her.

Sharpe told the deputy that Bell pointed the gun at him threatening to shoot him if he didn’t give her the keys to his vehicle. She also got his phone and after he stepped aside of where he was sitting on a couch, Bell pointed the gun toward the bedroom behind where Sharpe was sitting and discharged the revolver, Coleman said he was told.

The victim advised Coleman that Bell took his vehicle.

Deputy James Robinson also arrived later at the residence and checked to see if he could find the point of impact from bullet.

Sharpe told Coleman he couldn’t call 911 because Bell had taken his phone.
