A Stroud woman faces a dozen felonies after an assortment of drugs were found in her possession in a Lincoln County jail cell, authorities report.
Gretchan Ruth Acosta, 49, has been formally charged in Lincoln County District Court with 11 counts of possession of contraband and one count of bringing contraband into jail/penal institution.
That charge accuses her of bringing controlled dangerous substances into the Lincoln County Jail on Dec. 13.
Her initial appearance was before Lincoln County Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk on Dec. 21. A status conference was held on Dec. 28 and a pre-preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2021, court records show.
Her bond has been set at $30,000.
She is accused of possessing 11 different controlled substances, among them Prednisone, Hydroxy zine, Ibuprofen, Trazadone, and an assortment of others.
Each of the possession charges carries a 5 to 20 years state prison term if convicted. Bringing the contraband into the Lincoln County Jail carries 1 to 5 years in state prison or a fine or both, according to court records.
An Affidavit filed in the case states Lincoln County deputies discovered the drugs in a Detox cell of the jail.
