Stroud rumbled past district rival Alva Friday, cementing the Tigers’ position as the team to beat in District 2A-5.
The Tigers are tied with Luther for the first place, each with 3-0 records, but they’re ranked No. 1 and remain unbeaten on the season.
This week, they travel to Newkirk, 1-5 on the season.
Head coach Josh Presley had high praise for the Tigers’ lines on offense and defense.
“The defensive line stopped the veeer and took care of the inside run game,” he said. “Kason Presley, Patrick Gasper, Leo Neuman, Ty Stafford and Chandler Davis.
