Meeker Town Board of Trustees has approved the final General Fund and Public Works Authority budgets for the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year.The General Fund budget totals $997,065 and the Public Works Authority budget is $1,080,250.

It’s beach day and I’m getting up way too early on vacation because the later it gets, the less likely you are to get a good spot by the water. My dad and older brother join me to set up our canopy and lawn chairs beachside, and as I haul our stuff, I catch a whiff of the ocean salt in the air.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend was a mixture of visiting several cemeteries and putting out flowers and taking a journey down to the lake and having some down time.My wife Pat and I usually visit four cemeteries, two here in the Shawnee area and two more in Oklahoma City.
