I was stretched out in bed beside Kindra Friday night when I noticed she had posted on Facebook about her crawfish etouffee and Cajun music. We’d had the house to ourselves that evening, so she made the etouffee and had Cajun music playing in the background when I got home.

Easter Sunday is always special and this year once again it was really special. Our daughter Meghan brought our grandson Liam over on Saturday afternoon so he could spend the night with us. She stayed around for a while that afternoon, too, and we had lunch before she headed back home to Norman.

The Meeker Town Board of Trustees this week adopted a resolution calling for an election granting a franchise to Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co. for 25 years.

Bench warrants issued in 2015 case

Multiple charges alleging sex crimes have been filed against two persons and one of the defendants has made his initial appearance. Bench warrants of $100,000 each had been issued for the arrest of the two. The bench warrants were issued the same day the charges were filed.

This year’s International Finals Youth Rodeo, which is scheduled for July 10-15, would have marked the 30th year for the event that originated in 1993. But due to the postponement in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s No. 29 instead. Entries opened on April 1 again this year.
