We celebrated Veterans Day a week ago today. Personally, I think it’s one of the greatest holidays there is that this country observes. The nation took time today to honor all the brave men and women who have been, and those who still are, willing to serve their country.

Dale approves school budget

Dale’s Board of Education this week approved the final 2021-2022 budget and also adopted a resolution calling for the annual school election. Acting School Supt. Ky Wilkins presented the final budget to the board showing revenue estimates of $5,463,336.42.

Hearing set in assault on officers case

A preliminary hearing has been set for a Stroud man facing two felonies and three misdemeanors in the alleged assault of two Stroud officers. Steven Eugene Laffoon, 52, of Stroud, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Aug.
