Yes, the golf course is going to happen. People are asking me if we’ve started on it yet. I’m sure it’s because they see no movement at the property but yes, Town Talk is working on it. The main thing we have been waiting on is enough good weather several days in a row.

We put out seven tomato plants over the weekend and, as of this writing, they’re waving their little leaves in the breeze and looking as happy as tomato plants can. This cheers me, because nothing smells quite as much like summer as a tomato plant. Even more than freshly cut grass.

If you haven’t been to the Stroud Lake in a while you should drive out and see all the improvements that have been made. One of the latest additions is a disc golf course named Eagle Valley.

Waiting for consensus is the right move

Lincoln County commissioners held off this week calling for a sales tax election to fund a new jail and for a countywide ambulance service. There’s little doubt both are badly needed. But commissioners were wise not to call for the election just yet.
