Candidates for Boards of Education in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties concluded filing for offices last week. Those who filed and didn’t draw an opponent with their seat unopposed.If more than two candidates filed for the same position, a primary election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025.

A Wellston woman who entered a guilty blind plea death to first degree murder in the death of a Carney has been sentenced.

Some schools have been in the gym for a while, but all area schools have gotten into action after Tuesday night. The unbeaten Wellston Lady Tigers (above), ranked No. 16 in ClassA, won the Agra Invitational and pushed their record to 9-0.
