A Cushing man facing felonies in two different cases filed against him this year has pleaded innocent during his arraignment in one of the cases.Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court in January of this year against Eddie Gene Moore, 73.

Several area cross-country teams and runners qualified for state during the regional meets held on Saturday. Top, Jordyn Neeley from Stroud motors through the Class 2A regional, held at North Rock Creek. She finished ninth, with a time of 13:38.

Waukomis upends Davenport

The Davenport Bulldogs fell to Waukomis 58-22 in their final home game of the season, even though Coach John Greenfield said his team played really hard.The loss drops the Bulldogs to 1-2 in the district and 2-6 overall with a road contest coming up Friday night at undefeated Covington.

County Commission

Lincoln County commissioners this week accepted a quote and awarded it for the commissioners’ conference room remodel.Only two quotes were submitted. Scruggs Construction submitted a bid of $12,474 and Buoy Brothers Construction submitted a quote of $19,860.

Hearing scheduled

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Stroud man who is facing eight felonies following his arrest by officers.Formal charges were filed Sep. 24, 2024 in Lincoln County District Court against Acey Ambrose Murphy, 33.
