Glenda Sue Taylor, 82 of Wellston, passed away at her home February 9, 2024. Born April 28, 1941, to Glen R. and Thelma Josephine (Wright) Miller in Sparks, Oklahoma. Sue was their pride and joy.

Kali Beall, Colton Burbach and Ashlee Beatty have been named the February Lions of the Month by the Lions Club. Kali Beall is the daughter of Kevin and Tracy Beall. After graduating, she plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and join the nursing program to get her RN or LPN.

Hearing set in rape case

A pre-preliminary hearing has been scheduled for an 18-year-old Prague woman facing two felonies, one of them first degree rape, and another Prague woman has been charged with enabling child sexual abuse and child neglect. Taylor Jo Bittle was charged in Lincoln County District Court Dec.

Meeker to convert buses to CNG

Meeker Board of Education members this week rehired four administrators and also approved converting the district’s school buses to CNG.
