A competitive spirit

Stroud senior Jackson Campbell has always had a competitive nature.He started playing sports when he was five or six -- ever since his father Jim Campbell used to coach in Chandler.

Still unblemished

It was more of the same last week for the area’s three remaining unbeaten basketball teams.Wellston’s girls moved to 18-0 with a victories over Crescent and Mulhall-Orlando, which was ranked No. 20 in Class B-2. The WLTs are ranked No. 8 in Class A.

A dog breeder from Stroud facing over 400 felony counts of animal cruelty is ready for trial.Jerry Hine appeared before District Judge Sarah Bridge on Jan. 20, with Shelly Levisay representing him on behalf of Kimberly Miller. Levisay said Mr. Hine was still ready for trial.

Meeker FFA members Kaydence Staude and Analie Staude competed successfully at the Jeff Beutler Memorial Swine Show on January 10, 2026, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.The annual event welcomed 507 head of pigs from exhibitors across the region, making it one of the largest jackpot shows of the season.
