CHELSEA WEEKS Staff Writer The Lincoln County Clerk's office was closed Monday, Sept. 14, for cleaning due to a worker testing positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, Sept. 12.

According to the COYID guidelines, anyone who has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 48 hours needs to be quarantined for 14 days.

Lincoln County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said this has been put in place for her office and only one person hadn't been in contact with the worker who tested positive for COVID-19.

"She's doing all the work she can do, all the rest of us are working from home," Wagnon said.

Wagnon sai d they will all be back in the office Monday, Sept. 28.

"Just bear with us as we're working from home and working with a reduced staff in the office," she said.

Wagnon said the office was professionally cleaned and included an in-virus shield disinfection.

All precautions, like temperature checks, are still in place at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
