Homer and Sue Smith of Chandler will celebrate their Diamond Anniversary recognizing 60 years of marriage. Friends and family are invited to a come-and-go reception 3-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Chandler Senior Citizens Center. The event is hosted by their children and their children’s spouses.
Homer Smith and Karen Sue Green were united in marriage on Sept. 11, 1961, in Pawnee, Okla.
Sue retired from Union Bank as an officer. Homer, also retired, worked at John Deere several years and at the Lincoln County Farm Center.
The couple’s children are Darla Riley of Chandler; Terry and Christy Smith of Mannsville, Okla.; Larry and Tana Smith of Agra; Garry Smith of Portland, Ore.; and the late Christopher Smith.
