Ella “Mae” Smothers, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Stroud, Oklahoma. Mae was born on Friday, October 15, 1937, to Jesse Homer andWalcie Gladys (Marion) Thomas in Luther, Oklahoma.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Smothers; her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Ron Wilson; brother, George Thomas; sisters, Vineta Jean Smothers, Lou Garcia, Peggy and Delbert Staggs; a granddaughter; great-granddaughter; and a great-grandson. Mae is survived by her brother and his wife, Allen and Liz Thomas; brother-in-law, Charlie Garcia; sister-in-law, Rita Smothers; two sons; two daughters; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
