Will Rogers is coming to town on Sunday, November 10th to help us honor our veterans.
The American Legion Auxiliary is hosting this event at Stroud United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. All veterans and those currently serving are invited to attend free of charge.
The public is invited, and tickets are $10.00. Pie and coffee will be served.
Mark your calendars now for Stroud’s Tree Lighting Ceremony. It will be an event for the whole family to enjoy.
Vendors and food trucks will be on Main Street and kids’ crafts will be at the Route 66 Pavilion. Activities will take place on Saturday, November 16th and will begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 7:00 p.m. with the tree lighting taking place in Ed. Smalley Centennial Park at 6:00 p.m. Make plans now to attend.
It’s Spirit Week at Stroud Schools with the festivities concluding Friday night with the Stroud Tigers’ Homecoming football game.
The Tigers are on fire with an overall record of 8-0 and a District record of 5-0. Last Friday night the Tigers travelled to Newkirk and came home with a 56-14 victory.
This Friday night the Tigers will take on the Casady Cyclones here in Stroud at Jack Poskey Field with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
