Weston Miller, Kennedy Allen and Lexi Martzall have been named the October Lions of the Month by the Chandler Lions Club.
Weston Miller is the son of Adam and Mary Miller. He currently has a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) and is ranked first in his class. He has been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll for three years and has taken advanced English and history classes.
As part of the Chandler High School marching and concert band, Miller has been awarded 2A State Marching Band Champions in 2024, received Superior ratings for Solo and Ensemble for three years, Band Sweepstakes from 2022 to present, and has been on the band leadership team for two years, as well as being the woodwind section leader for two years. As part of the choir, Miller has received Superior ratings for Solo and Ensemble for three years, Choir Sweepstakes each year since 2022, and has been the choir president for one year. As part of drama, Miller was named to the All-Star Cast at OSSAA One-Act Regionals in 2024, where the cast also placed second. That same year, the cast placed fourth at State Drama. Miller was inducted into Thespian Troupe 1825 in 2025, where he has been the film/editor for a year. He was also part of the Academic Team that won State in 2024.
Miller has been a member of the band for four years, Catalyst Youth Group for four years, Academic Team for two years, Gifted and Talented for four years, Thespian Troupe 1825 for two years, Music Makers choir for four years and been a representative on Student Council for two years.
He currently works at Taco Bell and Hite Drug.
After graduation, Miller plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in Music Industry, then write and produce music for major corporations and movies.
Kennedy Allen is the daughter of Chaz and Erin Allen. She currently has a 4.0 GPA.
Allen has played varsity fastpitch softball for four years. In 2023, she was the 66 Conference MVP, Cushing Tournament MVP, made All-District Pitcher of the Year, the Daily Oklahoman Little All City Second Team, and was an OKC Metro High School Sports Awards Female Athlete of the Year nominee. In 2024, Allen was the 66 Conference MVP, Cushing Tournament MVP, All-District Pitcher of the Year, Daily Oklahoman All State First Team, Prep Nation All State, Daily Oklahoman Little All City Player of the Year, OKC Metro High School Sports Awards Female Athlete of the Year nominee, and led the country in wins and strikeouts on MaxPreps for fall 2024. In 2025 so far, she has been named the Cushing Tournament MVP.
Allen’s other activities include Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America, Positive Peers, Postponing Sexual Involvement, and is a basketball manager. Allen was also named to the BancFirst Student Advisory Board.
She currently works as a pitching instructor and was a hostess, server and dishwasher at Jack’s Place in 2023.
Lexi Martzall has a 4.0 GPA and has completed four years of Honors/AP English. She has made the Honor Roll since 2022 and received Academic Excellence Awards from 2023 to 2024. She has also received Certificates of Achievement for Algebra I, Algebra II and Spanish I.
Martzall was a Girls State graduate and received a Good Citizen Citation in 2025.
She has been a member of the Oklahoma High School Honor Society from 2023 to 2024 and the National Honor Society since 2024.
Martzall is currently the Student Council president and has served as the Student Body StuCo Class of 2026 Representative since 2023. She has been in Gifted and Talented, FCA, Positive Peers, and Varsity Track since 2022. Martzall was on the Academic Team from 2022 to 2023, Varsity Cross Country from 2024 to 2025, a member of BPA in 2025, and was also the October Rotarian of the Month this year.
Martzall has been heavily involved in the community. She planted flowers at the history museum from 2021 to 2023, organized and performed at the Veterans Day program from 2021 to 2023, decorated and provided snacks in the teachers’ lounge for Teacher Appreciation Day from 2021 to 2025, and wrote names for the Kaddish Prayer in OKC in 2022.
She has also held a stand down for homeless veterans in 2023, shopped for Angel Tree children for Christmas from 2023 to 2025, made Christmas and Valentine’s Day cards for the local nursing home and veterans from 2023 to 2025, provided food and worked at the Soup Da Doup fundraiser in 2024, worked with kids in “Wise Guys & Girl Power,” read to elementary students in 2024, collected papers from teachers to be recycled weekly from 2024 to 2025, recycled at a community recycling event, and led a volunteer group of art students in painting windows on Main Street for the holidays in 2025.
Martzall has worked at Chilly Willy’s Snow Cone Stand, Edie’s Daycare as a part-time assistant and as a babysitter.
After graduation, Martzall plans to attend Oklahoma State University to pursue architecture.
