Felony charge in drug case

A McLoud man already convicted of two previous felonies faces a new felony following his arrest recently by a Lincoln County deputy.

James Leroy Robertson, 45, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court with trafficking in illegal drugs.

He appeared Sep. 26 before Associate District Judge Joe Dobry who set his bond at $75,000. He made his initial appearance on Oct. 16 before Special Judge Emily Mueller who has scheduled another hearing for 9 a.m. Oct. 30.

Robertson is accused on Sep. 25, 2025 of possessing one gram or more of Fentanyl, a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Supplemental information filed in the case by Assistant District Attorney Kelly Trimble shows that Robertson was convicted in 2022 in Pottawatomie County on drug and firearms charges.
