Community event to highlight mental health

Lincoln County families are invited to attend Unmuted:ANightofCommunity Resources, a free community event taking placeTuesday, September 15, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. at McClanahan Park in Chandler The event is designed to make local mental health and community resources more approachable and accessible while providing families with an eveningoffun,connection and activities.

Families can enjoy free hotdogs, live music, games, prizes, giveaways and activities throughout the evening. There will also be a variety of local organizations and community resource providers available for families to meet and learn more about services available in the area.

Children can participate in a special Passport Challenge by visiting resource booths and completing activities. Once their passport is completed, participants can receive a free snow cone and prizes.

Organizers hope the event will provide an opportunity for families to connect with one another and with local organizations in a welcoming, family-friendly environment while helping reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

“Unmuted” is free and open to the public. Families throughout Lincoln County are encouraged to attend and learn more about the resources available within their community.
