A memorial service will be held for Susan Irene Golden at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at New Life Assembly of God Church in Geary, Okla.Burial will follow at a later date at Fort Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
Golden was born April 10, 1945, in Atkin, Minn., and died Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in Stroud. She was 74 years old.
The daughter of Hurbert Wilson and Helen Lenora (Cheney) Packer, she married Billy Golden on August 22, 1964.
She taught special education in Geary before her retirement.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her son Troy Golden, her sister Mary Ann Mize, and her brothers Richard Packer and Gordon Packer.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Mary Ann Golden of Sparks; five grandchildren and their spouses; and seven great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Judy and Melvin Eakin; her daughter-in-law Darrla Golden and brother-in-law Mic Mize; and other family and friends.
