Elementary students in Meeker will enjoy a performance of the Oklahoma Children’s Theatre on May 5.
Each year BancFirst joins Oklahoma Children’s Theatre to sponsor performances in communities around the state. Oklahoma Children’s Theatre scales down one of their stage performances, including sets, costuming, and cast to take on the road to share a high quality, live theatre experience with elementary school students in select BancFirst communities.
Oklahoma Children’s Theatre will present Oklahoma’s Own to Meeker Elementary students on May 5. Oklahoma’s Own is a fast-paced Game Show “tour” of Oklahoma looking at our shinning stars (Maria Tallchief, Bill Picket, and Woody Guthrie), unique landmarks (Black Mesa and Heavener Rune Stone), festivals (World Champion Seed Spittin’ contest), and endearing local flavor. Cast members interact with the audience during the performance to engage students and personalize their experience.
“We’re thrilled Oklahoma Children’s Theatre will make a stop in Meeker this year,” said LaVerne Babinchak, Branch Manager of BancFirst Meeker. “Their plays are always entertaining and give the children and staff the opportunity to enjoy live theater.”
