Hearing continued on rape charges

A pre-preliminary hearing has been continued once again for a defendant facing two first degree rape charges. Two felony charges of first degree rape with a victim under 14 were filed in Lincoln County District Court Jan. 24 against Dakota Shane Murch, 44.

Chandler woman charged in child case

A Chandler woman has been charged with a felony after Lincoln County deputies responded recently to a reported child abduction. Melisa Ann Elzey, about 44, was formally charged Sep. 19 in Lincoln County District Court with maliciously, forcibly or fraudulently taking or enticing away children.
