Woman charged with exploiting elderly

A bench warrant has been issued for a Stroud woman for one felony count of the exploitation of an elderly person.District Attorney Adam Panter filed the charge on May 12 against Mary Samantha Vineyard, 42, of Stroud.

The Lincoln County Commissioners approved a vote of the people on dissolving the E911 Trust Authority at their regular meeting on June 1.“If everything falls the way it’s supposed to, that election should be in November,” said District 3 Commissioner Lee Doolen.

Lincoln County News wins big at OK Press awards

The Lincoln County News walked away with several awards from the Oklahoma PressAssociation’s 2025 Better Newspaper Contest on June 6.The newspaper competed in Division 6 for weeklies that service areas with a population of 1,800 to 4,000.

Vintage engine nearly ready to be unveiled
