Theatre students shine at Discovery Awards

Stroud art students create Route 66 mural on AirBnB

Stroud art students were hard at work helping to jazz up an AirBnB on Route 66. The mural was designed by Art I and Art II students Brennyn Neeley and Jackson Mitchell, though several more students helped with bringing it to life. Work was completed on May 12.
Bryce Pearcy, a senior at Meeker High School, attended Oklahoma Boys State May 23–30 at Rogers State University in Claremore. Bryce is pictured with his grandfather, Danny Lowe, who attended Boys State at Oklahoma State University in 1971. Bryce is the son of Brent and DeLayna Pearcy of Meeker. He is the grandson of Danny and Debbie Lowe of Meeker and Charles and Sherry Pearcy of Choctaw.

Dedication for Nat’l Guard sign

An unveiling is being held for the new Oklahoma National Guard Heritage Trail sign on June 13. The sign will be located northeast of Tilghman Park and will have photos and text describing what the State Camp, Maneuver Grounds and Rifle Range looked like in 1909. The unveiling will be held at 11 a.m.

LCOS brings back Same Sky

Lincoln County On-Stage is bringing back its annual Same Sky Storytelling Series with The Invisible Edition on June 20, according to a press release.This year’s program features stories of common ground from Zac Fisher, Esther Kerr and PaulVassar.
