The Chandler Lions 12u team won the regional tournament last weekend at Perry and will be competing in the Oklahoma Kids State Tournament in Sallisaw starting Tuesday, July 21 - 25.
The Lions started the regional tournament playing against Vian. They walked away with a 8-4 victory.
They moved on to battle Perry and again. Chandler shut out Perry 12-0.
During the regional finals, the Lions faced Perry again and rose victorious with a 14-2 win.
Head Coach Goeff Metheny said their team finished the season 25-9 overall and 8-0 in the league.
The Lions will play in the blue racket. The winner of the blue and red bracket will play best of three series Saturday for the state championship.
The Lions will start the tournament facing the Sallisaw Drillers.
