Local high school marching bands bring home the hardware

It was another weekend of marching home with hardware for local high school marching bands.Chandler High School competed at the Blue and Grey Marching Classic in Glenpool, winning second place overall in the finals, along with Outstanding Music.

Commissioners renew contract with Child Advocacy Center

The Lincoln County Commissioners approved the renewal of a contract with the Child Advocacy Center at their regular meeting on Oct. 5.They plan to approve a use tax resolution for the contract at the next meeting. The contract was renewed at the same level as last year -- $243,179.

A student from Chandler High School has been named to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Teen Board for the 2026-27 year.Madelyn Bridge is one of 51 11th- and 12th-graders selected to this year’s board, according to a press release from the organization.

Lions’ D prevails

Chandler’s defense made stops when it needed to Friday night as the Lions rang up a 34-27 win over Dickson in their district opener.The win lifts the Lions’ season record to 3-1 and leaves them as one of four district teams with a 1-0 league record.
