This time of year is one of my favorites. The month of August is normally hot and, though this might sound a little strange, I like it that way as September nears.So far, August has lived up to its normal billing. EMILY KALKA The Carney FFA chapter has been named a three-star chapter and named a national finalist this year for the Premier Chapter Strengthening Agriculture Award Area, according to a press release from Carney FFA.

Stroud students in finals in agriculture proficiency

Brance Wells and Bailey Faires of the Stroud FFA Chapter in Stroud, Oklahoma have been named national finalists this year for the Turf and Landscape Management Agricultural Proficiency Award and Small Animal Care Agricultural Proficiency Award, respectively.
