Dale approves adjuncts, extra-curriculars

Dale Board of Education membersattheirmost recent meeting hired some new teachers, employed several adjunct teachers, and approved others for extra-curricular positions for Fiscal Year 2026.

They also discussed but held up doing anything about purchasing a new AG truck or taking bids for the current Ag truck until next month, School Supt. Will Jones said.

The new teachers hired include Casi Sta cey, elementary, Oliver Willis and Cale Richardson, secondary, WhitneyBuckley, Special Education and Courtney Warnock, Special Education.

Adjunct teachers employed include Cale Richardson, Marty Shirey, Sage Higdon, Micaela Herber, Alicia Roberson and Oliver Willis.

Extracurricular Staff hired for the 2025-2026 school year at a capacity to be determined by the administration include: Jason Reece, Athletic Director; Eric Smith, Scott Wilson, Josh Forsythe, Andy Powell, Bryce Clemons, Fletcher Reed, Cody Merrell, OliverWillis, Dillon Endicott, Nick Noble, Rachel Karger and April Woods.

In other business, the board members working with Pottawatomie County hired Bryan Ackerman as a new school resource officer for FY 26.

They approved the student handbook for FY 26.

They approved the Personal Wireless Communication Devices Policy approved by the State Legislature which is the new cell phone policy, Jones confirmed.

Board members approved theStrongReaders Act policy.

They kept capacity numbers for 2025-2026 the same.

As part of his superintendent’s report, he went over the financial report which board members later confrrmed.

The Building Fund Cash Balance in July 2025 was $878,338 and in July of 2024 was $373,158.

General Funeral Cash Balance in July 2025 was $1,493,156 and in July 2024 was $1,532,009.

County Sales Tax Balance in July 2025 was $465,724 and in July 2024 it was $401,820.

Jones also provided a sum of building, general and county sales tax balances for the following: 2025— $2,837,218 2024— $2,306,987 a plus of $530,231. 24—2,306,987 23—1,450,272 a plus of $856,715 2023—$1,450,272 2022—$1,128,254 a plus of $322,018 Jones said, “as of July 1, 2025, we have a $1,708,964 increase since July 1, 2022 (151.47% increase)”
