Man charged with A&B against officer

A McLoud man was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and obstructing an officer, according to court documents.Joseph Wade Murdock, 43, was charged on March 24 for an incident that occurred on or about March 20.According to the probable cause affidavit, Dep. Houston Byford and Dep.

Provisions for incapacitated voters

Registered voters who become physically incapacitated after 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 6 and are unable make it to the polls, still have an opportunity to cast their ballot.

Local students win at academic contest

Schools from around the state, including Lincoln County, took part in the 52nd Annual Scholastic Meet at Seminole State College on March 26, according to a press release from the college.

Wellston Fire Department gets a glow up

The Wellston Fire Department has received new equipment and certification to help the department be more prepared to respond to wild and structure fires, along with medical emergencies.
