Closet cleaning update

About six months ago I wrote about a project that I had started a few weeks before that of cleaning out a closet.I mentioned then that I like to describe it as a work in progress.

Town Talk

After a summer hiatus, Town Talk is back. Thanks to all of you who told me you missed reading it. A big shout out to two of my readers in Wellston, Tom and Terry Mullendore, who called just to see if I was alive. Running again?

My decision was driven by the results from an online longevity calculator and input from a tiny angel on my right shoulder.I entered my height, weight, age and drinking habits into the calculator. And that I had smoked during a mis-spent few years in my youth, but quit half a century ago.

A look back at the fair

It was good to see more school kids and people out at this year’s Pottawatomie County Free Fair which wound up Saturday evening at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee.Late August and early September each year are the months county fairs are held throughout Oklahoma.

A Labor Day elimination
