Bulldogs 46, Bethel 7

Meeker rolled up 559 yards of total offense and stormed past Bethel, 46-7, in the Bulldogs’ district opener Friday night. They’re one of four teams in the district with a 1-0 record, and face one of the others - Chandler - Friday night at 7 at Buldog Stadium.

Davenport suffers fifth loss

With several key players still out with injuries, the Davenport Bulldogs dropped their fifth game of the season Friday night, losing 48-0 to Southwest Covenant (SWC) in a homecoming contest.

Stroud, Dale and Prague won their regional tournaments last week and will play this week of Bestof- 3 Super Regionals. Class 2A Stroud, which hosted its regional, beat Colbert in the first round and then won two of three from Elmore City.

Staff writer BRIAN BLANSETT Chandler spotted Bristow two early touchdowns, but wrote a new script for the rest of the game and came away wth a 21-14 win Friday night in the home opener. The win lifts the Lions to a 2-0 record going into next week’s game at Poteau.
