Trials continued for McLoud trio

Jury trials have been continued for two McLoud men facing three felony charges each in connection with trafficking illegal drugs, cultivation of a controlled substance and possession of firearms during commission of a felony.

Lions rout Westville, 42-16

Chandler took Westville to the woodshed Thursday night, beating the Yellowjackets 42-16 in a game that was not as close as the final score.The Lions led 42-0 at the half and the clock ran continuously in the second half except for one injury timeout.

Commissioners approve agreement on building

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer Lincoln County commissioners this week approved an agreement with Henson Construction for the new OSU Extension Office at the fairgrounds.In the motion it was noted that the agreement is approved subject to any adjustments by the District Attorney’s Office.

Driver sentenced

A woman who was charged in January of 2023 with discharging a fireman from her vehicle while driving on the Turner Turnpike has pleaded guilty and been sentenced, almost all of the term suspended.Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court Jan.

$1 million to water district

Lincoln County Rural Water District No. 3 received a $1 million grant from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) on Oct. 15. The funds will be used to improve the district’s water infrastructure, according to a press release from the OWRB.

McLoud drama heads to state
