Firearms charges for Chandler pair

A man and a woman, both from Chandler, face felony firearm charges and misdemeanor drug counts, following their arrest by Lincoln County deputies.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on March 15 against Herbert Lee Gaines, Jr., 58, and Rachelle Dawn Bannister, 45.

$1 millon grant for Carney

The Carney Public Utilities Authority received a $1 million grant from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board for improvements in their water and wastewater infrastructure, according to an OWRB press release. The Authority received the grant on Tuesday.

Charges filed in child abuse

A Carney man has been charged with felony child abuse and his pre-preliminary hearing is scheduled for today.Austin McDougal, 22, was charged in Lincoln County District Court Feb. 26 with one count of child abuse. He made his initial appearance on Feb. 29 before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk.

Commissioners approve CDBG application

A Chandler man, previously convicted of at least nine felonies in Lincoln County, faces a new felony.Jerry Edward Hallmark, 41, was recently charged in Lincoln County District Court with bringing contraband into jail/penal institution.A bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
