Wichita State University has announced the names of more than 3,700 students who were on the WSU dean’s honor roll for spring 2020.
Neleigh M. Herring and Jalen A. Milligan, both of Chandler, made the deans honor roll.
To be included on the dean’s honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
WSU enrolls about 16,000 students and offers more than 50 undergraduate degree programs in more than 150 areas of study in six undergraduate colleges.
The Graduate School offers an extensive program including more than 40 master’s CHANDLER, OK degrees that offer study in more than 100 areas; a specialist in education degree; and doctoral degrees in applied mathematics; audiology; chemistry; communication sciences and disorders; human factors and community/clinical psychology; educational leadership; nursing practice; physical therapy; and aerospace, electrical, industrial and mechanical engineering.
Two weeks from July 6, Paradigm Construction and Engineering will begin construction on the Salt Creek Bridge on Highway 99 just north of Stroud.
Construction was supposed to start in late May, but according to Paradigm Construction and Engineering Vice President of Operations Joshua Glefener the lake levels were 10 – 15 feet higher than what they needed to be in order to start the project.
Glefener said if there are no weather problems, than they should have the project completed in six months.

State highway officials have determined the current bridge is structurally deficient with a load rating of 43/100 and is functionally obsolete.
Glefener said they will build a detour right next to the roadway, that way drivers won’t have to deal with a stop light.
The cost of the project is $2.18 million.
The Sac and Fox Nation provided 33 percent of the funds through a grant-in-aid through the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
