Voters in some area communities in Pottawatomie and Lincoln counties decided school board and municipal contests in Tuesday’s election.
In one school district, Meeker voters approved an $850,000 bond election and in Prague voters approved a one cent sales tax for five years.
These are the results of the School Board elections:
Lincoln County:
Bond Election: Proposition No. 1, yes 240, no 75.
Proposition 2, yes 235, no 80.
Meeker: Office No. 5, Josh Elliott 230, Robyn Miller 89.
Stroud: Office No. 4, Jerred Eversole, incumbent 85, Kenny Patrick 64 unexpired 3-year term.
Wellston: Office No. 1, Eric Bozeman, incumbent 84, Crystal Hull 121.
Prague: Office No. 1, R. Fred Simek Jr., 260, Kiley Bailey, incumbent 207.
Perkins-Tryon: Office No. 1, Rick Lomenick 145, Jessie Johnson, 241.
Paden: Office No. 1, Maryann Tinsley 104, Deven Shane Mills 53.
Pottawatomie County:
Dale Office No. 1, Tim Collins, incumbent 100, Rory Shane Brewster 41.
Municipal Elections in Pottawatomie County:
McLoud: At-Large, James Woods, incumbent, 51, and Larry Dillon 72.
Municipal Elections in Lincoln County:
Town of Wellston:
Three Trustees positions, each four-year terms.
Randall Danker 40, Michael D’Amours 35, Patricia Parker 43, Brandon Hunt 50, Charles Danker, incumbent 44, Shasta Berry 28.
The three receiving the most votes will each win a Trustee position.
Carney, one Trustee position, unexpired two-year term:
Jacob Thompson, incumbent 16, Marc Hughes 10, Connor Hughes 1.
Davenport, Treasurer, fouryear term, Carol Ward, incumbent, 42, Madison Blakley 20, Joy L. Walker 73.
Also in Davenport, three Trustees positions, each fouryear terms:
Brett J. Baldwin, incumbent 97, Lisa Taylor 27, Wes Mattheyer 111, Dennis Bales 114. Top 3 vote getters won a Trustee position.
Prague voters approved the extension of the one cent sales tax for five years.
