Chandler board of education

Chandler Board of Education members this week accepted the resignations of several personnel and employed a new I.T. technician.

They also were presented with the College Remediation report and the dropout report.

School Supt. Scott Baade said the board members voted to employ Ian Hamilton as an I.T. technician. “He will help our current I.T. guy for a while,” Baade explained.

Board members accepted the resignations of Tonya Clagg, High School Administrative Assistant; Niki Steeley, Secondary Aide/substitute; and Donna Baumann, cafeteria worker.

Baade said the College Remediation report was for first time freshmen in the fall of 2022 and 32 Chandler students entered college. He said 6.3 percent needed remediation.

They adopted the 2025 Annual School Board Election resolution. Baade said Office No. 5 is up for election and the current board member holding that office is Joseph Irby.

The filing period will be Monday, Dec. 2 through Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Board members also approved Franklin Ward as an adjunct for four hours of 7th-12th grade Human Geography and four hours of Oklahoma History for the 2024-2025 school year.
