A woman has been charged with two felonies after she was arrested for allegedly stabbing two persons in an incident in Sparks recently.

Loren Ashley Holman, 33, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Jan. 26 with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

She made her initial appearance on Jan. 27 before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk. Judge Kirk set a $10,000 bond for Holman with the stipulation she have no contact with the victims.

A pre-preliminary hearing was set for Holman at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 24.

In Count 1, Holman is accused of on Jan. 24 this year of stabbing E.H., a child, with a knife with the intent to injure her without justifiable or excusable cause.

Count 2 charges her on the same date with using a knife to stab Louisea Lee with the intent of harming her without justifiable or excusable cause.

The stabbings reportedly occurred in the Town of Sparks in Lincoln County.

Supplemental information filed by prosecutors shows that Holman on Dec. 14, 2007, was convicted in Custer County of several drug-related charges. Those include Count 1, unlawful possession of Controlled Drug with intent to distribute, Count 2, another charge of possession of a CD with intent to distribute and Count 3, maintaining a place for keeping and selling a Controlled Substance.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Capt. Larry Stover, in an affidavit filed in the case, stated he was dispatched shortly before 10 p.m. on Jan. 23 to Sparks where an assault with a dangerous weapon had reportedly occurred that had injured a 17-year-old girl and her mother.

The 17-year-old had serious injuries and was being life flighted from Sparks to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Deputies Jimmy Brown and Kevin Roe had secured the scene, Stover said. The suspect, Holman, had left the scene in her 2000 Oldsmobile with a paper tag, he noted.

Through the investigation, Stover learned that Holman reportedly had stolen some items from the 17-year-old’s bedroom. Holman reportedly was coming to return the items the evening of the incident.

When the girl and her mother, Louisea, confronted Holman about more items that were taken, Holman reportedly got upset and had a knife in the car she was in. Louisea reportedly told the captain that she jumped Holman before she could get out of the car with the knife.

Louisea further advised Stover she was cut several times on the hand by the knife. She suffered several lacerations, Stover stated.

She told Stover that her daughter had attempted to stop Holman but was stabbed several times.

A woman who drove Holman to Sparks that night, told Stover Holman had been staying with her at the Best Way Inn located in Oklahoma City.

A Be on the Lookout for Holman was broadcast, Stover said, and the next day he was advised that Oklahoma City police had detained Holman at the Best Way Inn.

Stover traveled to Oklahoma City where met with a couple of the Oklahoma City police officers. He later transported her to the Lincoln County Jail in Chandler where she was booked on the charges.
