Commissioners approve ARPA resolution

Lincoln County commissioners this week adopted a resolution allowing nearly $100,000 in ARPA funds to be used for a Wastewater Infrastructure in the Town of Agra.

County Clerk Alicia Wagnon explained, “This is the actual resolution.”

She reminded them they already had approved $95,000 in ARPA funds for the project, this is the resolution putting that in place.

Commissioners spent nearly an hour in executive session interviewing applicants for the Assistant to the Safety Director/Facilities manager and discussing possible purchase of real estate.

When they returned to open session, they voted to readvertise the position as a facilities maintenance person and also voted to take no action on the purchase of real estate.

Commissioners decided to take no action on a quote from American Drones using OMMA funds to purchase a drone and accessories for Emergency Management.

They also decided to take no action on approving disbursement of OMMA funds. They voted to approve Safety bonuses for all eligible employees.

The commissioners rejected approving funding the 930 Road Loop project.

They approved title sheets for four different bridges. They took no action on purchase of new scales for the Size and Weights Program in the Sheriff’s Office.

Commissioners approved a Declaration of Surplus for the Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Charlie Dougherty explained the items were some radios, cars and used equipment.

In other business, commissioners: Briefly discussed the Court Clerk’s Child Abuse Prevention Fund Committee. It was explained jurors have the options of donating their pay to this fund. It had around $19,000 in it from when it started in 2007-2008, but they were advised, “we need to start working on it again.”

The agenda item was only for discussion. Approved a Division Order contract with Circle 9 Resources, LLC.
