Commissioners approve budget, E-911 payroll

Lincoln County commissioners during a special meeting this week approved the Fiscal Year 2024 budget and also approved a contract with the E-911 Trust Authority relating to the financial and/or employment situation with the Trust.

In the Oct. 2 meeting, commissioners approved the FY24 Estimate of Needs. County Clerk Alicia Wagnon informed them at that time they totaled more than $14.5 million.

This week’s action approved that budget. Commissioners also approved a contract with the E-911 Trust Authority. During a special meeting in late September, they had voted to provide $41,657 in payroll assistance to the E-911 Trust due to the financial situation that includes unpaid back taxes and late fees.

On Monday of this week, in addition to approving the contract, commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing payment of E-911 payroll related expenses out of the ARPA Interest account.

In other action during this week’s special meeting, commissioners approved a contract with Haskell-Lemon Group for 1st Street resurfacing in District 2.

They also opened bids and awarded a bid for $78,000 to ESU Pursuits in Junction City, Kan, for three 2019 Dodge Ram four-wheel drive pickups for the Sheriff’s Office. They were $26,000 apiece.

Commissioners authorized the bid process for the remainder of the 30 bridge project and they adopted a resolution for a project account to be set up for Bridges 41-40 and 41-54.

A resolution was passed appointing requesting/ receiving/inventory officer for the Stroud Seniors Nutrition Site.
